SSI Schaefer Automation expands in the Benelux

The intralogistics specialist SSI Schaefer transfers future-oriented development know-how and strengthens its local presence in the Benelux.

Giebelstadt, September 2008 In September, Rob Lalesse, Ronald Vorwerk and Rob Willemse will join the Schaefer Team. The three experts for system development and design will reinforce the offices in Arnheim (Netherlands) and Brussels (Belgium) in the areas of sales, technology and consultation.

The former executives of TRM Innovating Products B.V., Doetinchem, a Dutch pioneer in automatic case picking for the retail business, bring competencies as well as experience to SSI Schaefer.

"There is a growing interest in solutions designed by SSI Schaefer in the Benelux", explains SSI executive director, Harrie Swinkels. "The additional resources and competencies as well as plans for the near future underline our commitment to these markets."

Moreover SSI Schaefer plans to further intensify the development work in the field of automatic case picking. With the fully automated Schaefer Case Picking System (SCP) a modern solution has already been implemented successfully.

Marketability, innovative products and branch-qualified consulting as well as the consistent support by the Competence Center in Giebelstadt are significant characteristics for the presence of SSI Schaefer in the Benelux.

The know-how of the new employees and the reinforcement of the Schaefer project offices provide a good basis to win and serve more customers in these markets.
